ALL ABOUT ANTIQUES
A picker could be busy all day long, procuring that “rusty gold” rescued from the old barns or treasures that have languished, tucked securely away in attics. Decades ago Jacksonville was revitalized as an antiques emporium and that tradition is being revitalized by a broad selection of shops specializing in antiques and collectibles of all types.
Pickety Place just could have what you are looking for! Located at 120 W. California Street, this co-op-collective with a variety of vintage goods derived from the members features furniture, vintage clothing, china, glass, linens & quilts and outdoor items.
To complete the Jacksonville antique experience be sure to pencil in the annual City Wide Yard Sale slated for the 2nd weekend in September. You never know what treasures or vintage offerings you will discover. Residential and non-profits sales can begin on Friday and run through Sunday. For profit entities can have their sales Saturday – Sunday. The biggest day is Saturday, beginning at 7:00 am. This event draws regular visitors from Canada, California and Washington.
If you still haven’t found what you are looking for you may want to continue on to Medford and visit the antique/collectible store called Main Antique Mall, located at 30 N. Riverside. On Court Streets you will find the Collectors Market and American Mercantile
