  • Second Saturday Art Walk

    Second Saturday Art Walk (8/13, 9/10) 2-5pm in downtown Jacksonville

    Downtown Jacksonville! Look at locally created art and meet the artist, all while enjoying Jacksonville’s wonderful shops and restaurants! From 2–5 pm on any second Saturday, look for the yellow flags that mark participating merchants, step inside, and visit the popup show of the local artist who has partnered with that merchant.

  • Trolley Rides

    Take a seat and enjoy a pleasant ride through Jacksonville while learning fun facts and interesting highlights about our local history. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and are meant to be enjoyed by all ages. Private tours are also available by reservation.

    Tour pick-up and drop-off from the Visitor Information Center at the corner of C Street & N. Oregon St. Tickets available at time of booking; adults $10 and $5 for kids (10 & under).

    Tours are offered Tuesday through Sunday, departing at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm. (on Sundays there is no 10:30am tour).

  • Historic Walking Tours

    Our Historic Walking Tours are Back!

    Learn more about the history of Jacksonville with a guided walking outdoor tour led by Historic Jacksonville.


    Non-profit Historic Jacksonville, Inc. are happy to announce that they are once again offering their free Saturday walking tours (dates TBD). These 1-hour tours will leave from City Hall/Courthouse Square (North 5th between C and D streets) at 10 am.   (Donations are appreciated to help with the ongoing maintainenace of the historic properties.)

    Evening haunted tours resume June 11 and continue monthly through October.

    Haunted tours are offered the second Friday of each month starting in June. In October tours will be offered on both Friday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Oct. 9. A Britt Hill Tour features tales of arson, saloons and Oregon’s first Chinatown. The Courthouse Tour highlights stories of brothels, epidemics and hangings.

    Summer tours begin at 7, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45 p.m.
    October tours begin at 6, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, and 7 p.m.

    Haunted tours are $10 per person and reservations must be made by 4 p.m. of tour days. No walk-up sales will be available. Private tours can be arranged for 10 to 12 guests at a cost of $15 per person. All tours begin at the Jacksonville Visitors Center at the corner of North Oregon and West C streets. Bookings can be made online here.

  • Jacksonville Community Center

    Mondays: Line Dancing (1:00-2:00 pm) @ Jacksonville Community Center $7

    Join Teresa for a line dancing class at the JCC! This class is open to anyone that is interested in trying out line dancing for the first time or wants a refresher.

    Thursdays: Tai Chi (9-10am) @ Jacksonville Community Center $7

    Practice Tai Chi and relax while you tone and gently exercise your body. Tai Chi incorporates balance, breathing, and slow movements of the entire body while relaxing your mind. Tai Chi will gradually improve your posture, balance, flexibility and sense of well being by the continued practice of this Chinese art form. Tai Chi is taught Thursdays by Carolyn.   New students can begin the class anytime.

    Fridays: Beginner’s Yoga (10:30-11:30am) @ Jacksonville Community Center $7

    Lori Grable will be teaching her popular Beginning Yoga class! This class is open to anyone that is interested in trying out yoga for the first time or wants a refresher yoga class after a layoff. She is also teaching an All-Levels yoga class on Mondays at 5:45pm! Come with comfortable clothes and a yoga mat. The class is taught by Jacksonville resident Lori Grable who has been teaching yoga since 2006.
