• Tree Lighting Ceremony: November 30, 5pm  |   New City Hall, 206 N. 5th Street
  • Join us for a celebratory kick off to a season of holiday cheer in Jacksonville. Come to town with friends and family and participate in all the holiday magic of Victorian Christmas. Shop our quaint downtown to find gifts for everyone on your list. Fill your mugs with hot cocoa or mulled cider at one of the coffee shops, then stroll over to the City Hall for carolling, story-telling and the lighting of the town Christmas Tree. Afterwards, grab dinner and/or drinks in town to top off the night.
• Father Christmas: Weekends thru December 22   |   U.S. Hotel
  • As you explore the charming streets of Jacksonville during the Victorian Christmas celebration, don’t miss the chance to meet Father Christmas himself! Step into a world of holiday magic, where Father Christmas awaits to share warm greetings, festive cheer, and a sprinkle of nostalgia. Let him know if you’ve been naughty or nice before you stop in the nearby shops to find gifts for everyone on your list this year.
    No charge to take photos with Father Christmas. No photographer will be present. 
• Holiday Trolley Lights Tours: Evenings in December
  • Join us for this year’s Holiday Trolley Lights tour in Jacksonville! Experience the magic of the season as you ride through our charming town, beautifully illuminated and adorned with festive decorations. Delight in the twinkling lights, holiday music, and the warm, welcoming spirit that makes Jacksonville a perfect holiday destination. Don’t miss this enchanting tour—it’s a holiday tradition you won’t want to miss!
    • Tickets go on sale November 1
    • No service on December 24, Christmas Eve & December 25, Christmas day.

    • Tours begin at 6:00pm and run every 30 minutes.

    • Last tour is at 8:30pm.

    • Tour duration is 45 minutes.

• Holiday Parade: December 7, 10am   |   California and 5th Streets
  • Bundle up and celebrate the magic of the season in Jacksonville at our enchanting Victorian Christmas Parade! Step back in time as the streets fill with festive cheer, and vintage costumes bring holiday history to life. After the parade, spend the day exploring Jacksonville’s charming shops, cozy cafés, and historic sites, all beautifully adorned in holiday splendor. Enjoy the warmth of the season with carolers, visits with Father Christmas, our complimentary hot cider stand, and delightful seasonal treats. We invite you to make this special holiday tradition a part of your festive celebrations!

• Beekman House Victorian Christmas Tours
  • Weekends November 30 – December 17 12pm – 3pm. Learn the 19th Century origins of our Christmas traditions when miners, settlers, and merchants from around the world came to Jacksonville, bringing their customs with them. Tickets here
• Narrated History Trolley Tours
  • Saturdays and Sundays only starting December 2nd through December 30th. Times are 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm. No 10:30am tours on Sundays. Purchase tickets at the Visitor Center at 185 N. Oregon Street. (next to the Post Office)
• Holiday Shopping
  • And where better to do your holiday shopping? Local shops are imbued with holiday cheer and they have everything you will need to complete your holiday shopping. Additionally, the local restaurants and tasting rooms offer special holiday fare. And all of these establishments are independently owned. So you are guaranteed a personal experience.

• Salvation Army Toy Drive at Brodie Dental
  • Pick-up an Angel Tree Gift Tag from the holiday tree in the lobby. Then return an unwrapped gift matching the information provided on the tag to the dental office or to the Salvation Army, where it will be distributed in time for Christmas.
