Jacksonville Inn
Lodging
The Inn is an elegant, historic bed and breakfast featuring luxurious Honeymoon Cottages. Gerry Frank of the Portland Oregonian named the Inn as the “Most Romantic” Inn in Oregon. A U.S. President and First Lady stayed in the Presidential Cottage. Eight gracious and elegant hotel rooms, each furnished with authentic western antiques, have been professionally decorated to bring the warmth of modern color while maintaining the distinctive decor of the past. They are popular for their privacy and luxury. Lodging guests are provided a complimentary full-service breakfast with entrees such as eggs benedict.
Restaurant
The Jacksonville Inn Dinner House offers superb dining with distinctive cuisine; a five-course Table d’Hote or lighter Bistro menu, a full-service lounge and a selection of over 2000 wines. The Inn endeavors to use locally-sourced food products, organic farm produce, wild caught fish, and Oregon grown meats.
The entire Inn has wireless internet access. The Patio is a beautiful garden setting for outdoor dining during the wonderfully warm summer Jacksonville evenings. The Jacksonville Inn has served three of the last four U.S. Presidents.
Housed in one of gold-rush Jacksonville’s early permanent structures, the Jacksonville Inn perpetuates the nostalgic romances of that era. Built in 1861, the walls of the dining area and lounge were built of locally quarried sandstone, and specks of gold are still visible in the mortar. The town is the first in America to be named a National Historic Landmark, and Jacksonville has preserved its 19th Century charm.
As one of Oregon’s most acclaimed restaurants, it received the Medford Mail Tribune’s “Readers’ Choice Award” for five consecutive years as “Best Restaurant,” and Southern Oregon Magazine’s Best Fine Dining Award. The Wine List has received
Wine Spectator magazine’s “Best of Award of Excellence,” one of 600 in the world. The retail wine shop has been declared one of 50 best in America.
