At 1,460 acres with 40 miles of hiking trails, Jacksonville's Forest Park is a wonderful place to get out and get away from it all. Only one mile west of historic downtown Jacksonville, Forest Park offers grand vistas, hiking trails, small creeks, the town’s old reservoir, interpretive markers, and remnants of old gold mines.
